The Texas Association of Certification Officers
TACO was created to provide a forum for sharing ideas and common concerns among the colleges, universities, and school districts of the State of Texas; provide an organizational framework for cooperative action toward improving the quality of teacher and administrator certification by interacting with various organizations, institutions, and agencies; and provide a communication network through which members may act quickly and in concert on issues relating to teacher and administrator certification issues.
The Texas Association of Certification Officers meets twice a year (in Austin during the month of June and at the Fall CSOTTE conference held in October) at which time we are given an update by the State Board for Educator Certification.
